The
Island of Crete has
a natural and rugged
beauty; its
landscape includes
steep narrow gorges,
fertile green
plains, snow-capped
mountains, golden
beaches and secluded
coves. The land is
rich in wildlife and
flowers and is home
to a variety of
birds including the
griffin vulture one
of the most common
in Crete.
The
main industries of
Crete are the
tourist trade and

operated by a group
of companies known
as K-Tel. The fares
are inexpensive and
the service
reliable.
Crime in Crete is not a great problem, visitors should be vigilant, as
they would be in
there own country.
Drinking from tap
water is safe in
most places although
it is recommended
that you use bottled
water where
available.
There are Hospitals in the main towns as well as Clinics and medical
centres, you can see

There are three small Traditional Tavernas serving excellent food and
wine, which are
situated a short

Villas.

holiday or permanent
residence.
